The Dennis Kenyon Junior Helicopter Scholarship

 

To commemorate the life of Dennis Kenyon Junior, a scholarship is offered from time to time to fully fund a private helicopter licence, (PPL(H). Applicants should be aged 18 to 23 in the calendar year of application and meet the following requirements.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Complete a 300 word essay saying why they believe they should be awarded the helicopter cholarship.

Be able to pass a UK Class 2 medical examination conducted by a CAA approved Aeromedical Examiner.

Forward a recent passport size photograph with the formal application.

Forward evidence of age, normally being a copy of a birth certificate

Be able to obtain leave from their normal work for a consecutive four week period or two non-consecutive two week periods.

Be able to support themselves during a four week period in terms of accommodation and subsistence while flying training.

Be able to pass the associated ground examinations to qualify for the CAA private licence.

 

Applications as above should be made once the scholarship is formally announced in the FLYER aviation magazine. The completed application with the required documentation should be forwarded to:
